Caio Caruso is a Brazilian visual artist based in Ireland, working primarily with photography. His practice is an ongoing study of silence through natural forms. Working almost exclusively in black and white, he photographs stones, weathered wood, feathers and fragments of landscape, reducing them to their essential presence. Through restrained compositions, deep shadows and carefully controlled light, his work explores memory, stillness and the passage of time. Caruso holds a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts from Centro Universitário Belas Artes de São Paulo. His work has been exhibited in Brazil and internationally since 2002, including at the Pratt Institute (New York), Museu Brasileiro da Escultura e Ecologia (MuBE), the 5th Santo André Print Biennial, SESC, Galeria Contempo and Subsolo Laboratório de Arte. Alongside his artistic practice, he has collaborated with museums, galleries and major contemporary art exhibitions, including projects for the São Paulo Museum of Contemporary Art (MAC), Centro Cultural Banco do Brasil (CCBB), Centro Cultural São Paulo (CCSP), the Mercosul Biennial and Luciana Brito Galeria. His photographs are produced as archival pigment prints on Hahnemühle Photo Rag paper in carefully controlled limited editions.

Current works are developed as limited fine art editions and collector editions.
